Pension Season 2024 – shaping up to be busy and productive

To help set you and your clients up for it in the best way, we have a number of initiatives in the works.

Engaging clients

As you’re well aware, there’s a gulf between the engaged and disengaged retirement planner, so using 15 years of gathering insights we believe we’ve found a way to help close this gap. This is by supporting clients to work on their three retirement readiness indicators; being financially prepared, socially ready, and staying purposefully busy. By focusing on the outcome of their saving, the lived experience in retirement – we see clients engage more and get better outcomes.

This is the idea behind our Better with age campaign, live on national and local radio, social media, and on-demand TV. Watch the TV ad below and see how steady planning, careful preparation and trusted guidance play a role in us maturing into retirement.

Adviser events and key dates

Keeping you informed and business-ready this Pensions Season, we continue our nationwide Bringing retirement into focus roadshows. Since July we’ve visited Donegal, Kilkenny, Galway and Mullingar. Over the coming weeks we’ll be making stops in Cork, Dublin and Limerick.

We’ll also begin our Winter webinars, join us for our PRSA update on 12 October, our Pay and File preparation session on 24 October, and our all-important annual Ethics webinar on 7 November. Stay tuned for registration details here.

Pensions Awareness Week (PAW)

This pension season, we’re delighted again to sponsor Pensions Awareness Week (PAW), from 23 to 27 September. This year’s mission is to drive awareness of pensions and help clients measure their readiness using the NPT (National Pensions Test). As a key partner, Standard Life will be focusing on messages around ‘Approaching retirement’.
