Improved individual annuities
With interest rates at a higher level in recent years, annuity rates have also increased and annuities now carry more appeal as an option for retirement income. We’ve made some improvements to the Standard Life annuity to make it a more attractive option for you and your clients.
We’re offering more competitive annuity rates, and we’re increasing the level of commission available from 2% to 3%.
We’re also making improvements to how rates are guaranteed.
- A rate quoted for an annuity will be guaranteed for 14 days.
- If we receive the required documentation to process the annuity within these 14 days, we’ll guarantee that rate for a further 30 days (provided there has been no change in circumstances quoted for).
If monies are received within the 30 days, we’ll rerun a quote on the day we receive them and the customer will receive the higher of either the guaranteed rate or the current rate on the day.
These terms will be available for a limited period of time on annuity quotes for €200,000 and over.
